Very surprised the bearings, bolt threads, etc didn’t get damaged during delivery. All items were loosely in plastic bags within a box, with no further packaging/protection during transit. The calipers had deep gouges from beating around in the box with the rotors and other parts. Bearings are cheap china bearings. Brake pads were included. Easy install and working.

Ordered two Dexter Db35 kits. Arrived quickly. Dexter throws all parts (other than rotor , caliper and pads) loose in a bag . Never had bearings shipped that way. Are they ok and last? Brake pads were loose in both boxes, with one pad chipped off on the end. One box had loose parts shipped in an old ziploc branded bag. Probably a previously returned item.

It sounds like you're needing the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # KOD77FR which comes with new hubs/rotors, matching calipers, and the oil bath parts. In order to fill the oil hubs you'll have to remove the black plug from the cap, but that's pretty standard for oil bath kits. Does this look like a good replacement to you?

    Hey Kellon, we can help you piece together a kit like the part # HYD22FR that includes the marine grade actuator but as a complete kit we don't have one with it. So the first thing you'll need is a marine grade actuator which we have with the part # HS381-9067, then you'll want the 3,500 lb disc brake components # DX35ER that you referenced and the tandem axle brake line kit part # HS496-252 and you'd have everything you need.

    Hey Ron, welcome back. I wasn't able to find any good references for those part numbers so your best bet will be to either measure the brake assemblies or drum ID/depth. If you can see a casting number on the front of the drum, I may be able to use that to look up your brake info.

  • What Inner and Outer Bearings Does 3,500 lb Axle Disc Brake Kit Use
    Hey Jeff, are you absolutely sure the bearing numbers are both L68149 and not just the inner bearing? There isn't a hub that uses both the L68149 for inner and outer but a 3,500 lb axle would use it for the inner as well as the part # L44649 for the outer. If that checks out then the correct 3,500 lb axle kit would be the part # DX35ER that you referenced. You'd need two of these for each axle.
